In a fierceful exchange of fire across the Line of Control in Rajouri, Pakistan indulged in ceasefire violation without any provocation from the Indian side. The Indian army retaliated and ended up killing two militants of the Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militants and one Indian solidier died in the gun battle. Pakistan also violated ceasefire in Tangdhar and Keran sectors.
The retaliation came after a 15-day-old baby succumbed to the injuries from Pakistan firing during a ceasefire violation, on Monday.

Three civilians, including a woman and her baby, were injured on Sunday as Pakistani troops violated ceasefire by resorting to intense mortar shelling and firing of small arms on forward posts and villages along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Two residents also received minor injuries in the firing.
