After 13 new cases of Zika virus were reported in Kerala, the state government has prepared a new action plan to control it. After the confirmation of new cases in the capital Thiruvananthapuram, all the districts of the state have been alerted. State Health Minister Veena George has said that all necessary precautionary measures will be taken at the places where the virus is likely to be found.
Controlling mosquitoes is the most effective way to prevent this virus. This virus can infect more women who are four months pregnant. Symptoms of Zika virus include fever, headache, body aches and rash. Mrs George has said that people need to be careful not to be afraid of the virus.
