The United Nations Children’s Fund-UNICEF has said that nearly 300 Afghan children who were separated from their loved ones since the Taliban took over Afghanistan have been safely evacuated from Kabul.
UNICEF chief Henrietta Fore said in a statement to the media that many children have been separated from their parents in the ongoing turmoil in Afghanistan. Efforts are on to identify such children.
Some of the children rescued from Afghanistan have been sent by plane to the US, Germany, Qatar and other countries.
