Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for America’s visit. In a statement ahead of his departure, Shri Modi said that his visit to the US would provide an opportunity to strengthen the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership with the US and further strengthen ties with India’s strategic partners Japan and Australia.
He said that with US President Joe Biden, the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, regional and global issues of mutual interest will be discussed. The Prime Minister said that he is also looking forward to meeting Vice President Kamala Harris to explore opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of science and technology.
Modi will also meet Australian Prime Minister Morrison and Japanese Prime Minister Suga to take stock of the strong bilateral ties. The Prime Minister said he would conclude his visit with an address to the UN General Assembly, focusing on global challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic, the need to combat terrorism, climate change and other important issues.
