The Uttar Pradesh government has extended the free ration scheme in the state for the next three months. This decision was taken in the first meeting of the cabinet today. After the meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that 15 crore people of the state would be benefited by the free ration scheme.
Three thousand 270 crore rupees will be spent on this scheme. This scheme was started for the poor and underprivileged sections of the state during the Covid pandemic.
Ramapati Shastri was made the Pro-tem Speaker of the Legislative Assembly today. Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath to him.
