One more person has been arrested in connection with the investigation of the Indo-Afghan Narcotics Syndicate and the seizure of 50 kg of heroin from New Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh area last week.
Officials gave this information on Monday. He said that a person was arrested from Laxmi Nagar on Sunday in this case. This is the fifth arrest in this case. Earlier in April, two Indians and two Afghan nationals were detained by the anti-narcotics agency after raids in South Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh-Jamia Nagar.
NCB Director General SN Pradhan had last week said that terrorism links with the drug smuggling case “cannot be ruled out” and the agency was probing the aspect thoroughly.
