Former President Ram Nath Kovind’s new address will now be the bungalow on Janpath Road, where former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan once lived. After Draupadi Murmu was sworn in as the President of India, Kovind left Rashtrapati Bhavan to reach his new residence on Monday.
As a tradition, President Murmu was also present during this time. Paswan passed away in 2020. Before that, he lived in this bungalow at 12 Janpath for nearly three decades. His son Chirag Paswan had vacated the bungalow in April after receiving the notice.
Law Minister Kiren Rijiju tweeted, “As a tradition, Hon’ble President Draupadi Murmu ji along with former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind ji has been welcomed to his new residence at 12-Janpath in New Delhi.”
