Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, will inaugurate a series of transformative initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Cooperation in the past 100 days at a national-level conference today (Thursday) at the ICAR Convention Center in Pusa, New Delhi. During the main session of the conference, Home Minister Amit Shah will launch the “100 Days Initiative” under the theme “Prosperity through Cooperation.” The conference will feature three technical sessions focusing on the establishment of 200,000 Multipurpose Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (MPACS), “Cooperation among Cooperative Societies,” and “White Revolution 2.0.”
Inspired by Prime Minister Modi’s vision of “Prosperity through Cooperation,” the cooperative movement in the country is rapidly moving towards sustainability and will play a crucial role as the backbone of our rural economy. Carrying forward PM Modi’s vision, under the guidance of the Ministry of Cooperation, IFFCO will also host the ICA Global Cooperative Conference 2024 in Delhi at the end of this year. The conference will outline the Ministry of Cooperation’s future action plans for the world’s largest rural economies built around the cooperative movement.
In a statement, the Ministry of Cooperation mentioned that today, 290 million people are directly connected to the cooperative sector, benefiting from its community-based financial security and livelihood opportunities. The conference will also have three technical sessions focusing on the establishment of 200,000 MPACS, “Cooperation among Cooperative Societies,” and “White Revolution 2.0.”
