The Bharatiya Janata Party has criticized Congress leader Salman Khurshid for equating Hindutva with hardline jihadi groups in his book. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, party spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that it has not only hurt the sentiments of Hindus but also deeply hurt the soul of India. He accused the Congress of doing politics of hate and dividing the society on the basis of religion. Bhatia also alleged that such comments were made at the behest of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi and both the leaders should give an explanation on the issue.

The air quality in the national capital Delhi is in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality index in Delhi was recorded at three hundred 83 this morning. An air quality index between zero and 50 is considered good. Between 51 and one hundred it is considered satisfactory, between 101 and two hundred as normal, between 201 and 300 as poor, between 301 and 400 as very poor and between 401 and five hundred it is considered severe.

The UK has approved Covaccine, an India-made anti-Covid vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech. The British government said in a statement that from November 22, the vaccine will get official recognition. Covaccine will be added to the list of approved anti-Covid vaccines for travel to the UK. Chhath, the great festival of public faith, is being celebrated in different parts of the country with religious faith and dedication. Arghya will be offered to the setting sun on the third day of Chhath ritual today. Tomorrow, Chhath Mahaparva will conclude with offering Arghya to the rising sun and the devotees will conclude the 36-hour Nirjala fast. All classes have resumed from today in most of the schools in the national capital Delhi. Some schools will open after Diwali week. Schools were closed for the last 19 months due to the Covid pandemic. However, online education will also continue. No parent shall be compelled to send their children to school. It will be entirely up to them whether to send the children to school or continue their online classes. Schools have been instructed not to invite more than fifty percent students at a time.
