The Government of India has announced that now Afghan citizens will be able to travel to India only through e-Visa. This decision has been taken in view of the current situation in Afghanistan. There are reports that some Afghan nationals have lost their passports. In view of this the visas already issued to Afghan nationals who are not presently in India have been revoked with immediate effect. In Afghanistan, the Taliban has announced that it will no longer allow Afghan citizens to leave the country. The road leading to Kabul airport has been closed for Afghan citizens. Mujahid said that these days a large number of Afghan citizens are gathering at Kabul airport. He instructed such people to return to their homes and said that they would not face any kind of violence from the Taliban. Meanwhile, the Taliban has refused to extend the US deadline for withdrawal from Afghanistan.
