Viewers will soon see the Mahabharat sequence on Star Bharat’s RadhaKrishn, where Krishna will tell Radha the epic tale of the victory of dharma over adharma. This new chapter of RadhaKrishn will be called Arjun-Krishna Gatha. Actors to play pivotal roles in this new chapter have been shortlisted and some have even begun shooting for the show. The cast includes Ishita Ganguly, Kinshuk Vaidya and Malhar Pandya, among others.
Actor Krrip Suri, who was last seen in Vish, will be playing Duryodhan on the show. The actor reached the sets in Umbergaon on June 29. Talking about his preparation to play Duryodhan, Krrip said, “I am trying my best. There is a lot of research done. We’ve seen so many actors play this character brilliantly on the screen before. Let’s see how well I can perform this role.”
During the lockdown, Krrip got a chance to watch BR Chopra’s Mahabharat. “I watched the whole Mahabharat series. Puneet Issar ji was amazing as Duryodhan. In fact, not just Puneet ji but everyone did a fantastic job on the show. BR Chopra’s Mahabharat has made a special place for itself,” added Krrip.
When asked if playing Duryodhan will be challenging for him, he said, “I played Akbar in Maharana Pratap for which I even got awards. Many had played Akbar on screen before, but people liked my portrayal. I believe in giving your best and will work hard for this role. I will try to play this negative character with full positivity. I wish people love me in this new character and shower me with their love.”
Krrip got blessed with a daughter in January 2020. It is not possible for him to travel every day from Mumbai to Umbergaon. So, the actor has decided to stay near the show’s set, away from his little munchkin. He is missing his daughter but stays connected through video calls.
Krrip Suri started his TV journey with Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah. He was later seen in shows like Phulwa, Savitri, Sadda Haq, Uttaran, Kalash and Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey.
