BJP’s senior leader BS Yediyurappa took oath as the 25th CM of Karnataka. BS Yediyurappa becomes the chief minister for the fourth time.
The turn of events in the Karnataka cabinet happened with the coalition-led government, Congress+JDS led by Kumarswamy lost the trust vote in the assembly.
While the Kumaraswamy led party got only 99 votes to prove, BJP was leading by 105 votes which secured its place back.
Though BS Yediyurappa was sworn in alone by the Governor of Karnataka, the BJP leader was given seven days to prove his majority.

“On Monday (July 29), I will prove the majority at 10 am and pass the Finance Bill. I have requested governor to administer me oath between 6-6:15 PM as the Chief Minister. The governor has agreed and given me a letter” said the newly appointed BS Yeduyirappa.
