For the first time, people of India will see their Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a new role. He will be seen by millions of viewers around the globe in a special episode of popular Man versus Wild in Discovery India Channel on 12th August. The special episode will show the Indian prime minister heading into a forest accompanied by British adventurer BearGrylls on a survival mission.
The host of the channel Bear Grylls tweeted: People across 180 countries will get to see the unknown side of PM as he ventures into Indian wilderness to create awareness about animal conservation & environmental change. Catch Man Vs Wild with PM Modi @DiscoveryIN on August 12 @ 9 pm.

PM Modi’s aim of venturing into the adventure show is primarily to throw light on serious and sensitive issues like forest conservation, animal protection and climate change. The teaser too shows scenes of him arriving at the forest location and then setting off with Grylls. Other snippets from the episode show him holding a crude weapon fashioned out of a dagger tied to the end of a stick, and Modi and Grylls floating on a river in what seems to be a makeshift raft. Famous for his survival shows, Bear Gryll’s tweet received 12,000 retweets and 23,000 likes in just two hours.

In the released promo, Gryll’s is seen saying to PM Modi, “You are the most important man in India.
My job is to keep you alive.” The episode is set to air on Discovery India at 9 pm on August 12.
