Twelve people were arrested for questioning yesterday in connection with the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch. Five army soldiers were killed in this attack. Helicopters, drones and sniffer dogs have been pressed into service to track down the attackers.
According to official sources, those arrested are being interrogated to identify the terrorist outfit which is believed to be active in the area for the last one year. It also includes a sniper. Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh, along with Additional Director General of Police Mukesh Singh, is supervising the investigation in neighboring Rajouri district, a day after the attack. Both of them also visited the spot.
Security forces have launched a massive search operation in the dense forest of Bata-Doria area after five soldiers were killed in Thursday ‘s terrorist attack. Drones and sniffer dogs were used in the operation on Friday, while an MI helicopter carried out reconnaissance of the dense forest area.
