Several people are feared trapped under the debris of a five-storey building that collapsed in Maharashtra’s Raigad district on Monday afternoon. The police and rescue workers are on the spot and efforts to bring people out of the debris are underway.
The incident took place in the Kajalpur area of the district.
The number of people affected or injured is not known yet, however, visuals from the site of collapse show people being taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
The reason for the building’s collapse is yet to be ascertained. The region has been receiving heavy rainfall for the past few days.
