The United Nations Security Council has declared Pakistani terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki as a global terrorist. Makki is the brother-in-law of Hafiz Saeed, the Lashkar-e-Taiba chief and mastermind of the 26/11 terror attack.
The decision comes after China opposed the proposal to list Makki as a terrorist under the Sanctions Committee last year, which was followed by India’s condemnation. India has been actively involved in recruiting youth and raising funds to plan attacks, especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
India and America have already put Makki in the list of terrorists. Makki executes various conspiracies in the terrorist organization. It is worth noting that last year, India had also brought a proposal in the United Nations Security Council to declare Abdul Rehman Makki as a global terrorist, but China had blocked it. In June, India had also criticized China on this issue.
