Late Sushant Singh Rajput and his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty went on a Europe trip in the beginning of October 2019. The couple returned to India by the end of the same month, around Diwali. Sushant was found dead in his Bandra apartment in Mumbai on June 14, 2020. The actor’s death probe has taken many twists ever since his father registered a complaint against Rhea Chakraborty in the Patna police station. The one event that has emerged in most of the interviews in the case is this October 2019 Europe trip that Sushant and Rhea went together on.
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT AND RHEA CHAKRABORTY’S EURO TRIP
INTERVIEW WITH SUSHANT’S COOK NEERAJ: The late actor’s cook Neeraj told India Today that Sushant wasn’t well after he returned from the Europe trip. Neeraj added that when Sushant left for the trip, he was well. However, after he returned, he was unwell and continued to remain unwell.
Neeraj also revealed that post Diwali 2019, Sushant left his old house and moved into Rhea Chakraborty’s place. Later, he shifted to the Bandra house, where he was found dead on June 14, 2020.
WHAT RHEA CHAKRABORTY’S INSTAGRAM SHOWS: In October last year, Rhea had posted some pictures and videos from her trip to Europe with Sushant. However, it was only later, on Sushant’s birthday this year, that she first posted a photo with the actor, which was taken on the Europe trip.
During their October 2019 Europe trip, Sushant and Rhea travelled across France and Italy.
Rhea shared a video of herself, shot by Sushant, where the couple are in Blue Grotto, a sea cave, in Capri, Italy. Rhea is seen on a boat in the video. She later shared a picture from the same tourist spot with Sushant on the actor’s birthday, on January 21, 2020.
Rhea captioned the post: “#bluegrotto I see blue, you see green.. “Is this a riddle ?”, asks the queen. Now you see me, now you don’t. In the next video that Rhea shared, she is seen posing in Florence, Italy. Here again, Sushant shot the video of Rhea. The caption read: “No ,this is not a wallpaper #florence #rheality Shot by a very professional videographer BTS – a very candid photo session.”

WHAT RHEA CHAKRABORTY’S PETITION TO THE SUPREME COURT SAYS
In her petition to the Supreme Court, Rhea had revealed that she was in a live-in relationship with Sushant. Rhea said she was in a “year-long relationship with the deceased and is herself in a state of trauma from the incident”. Rhea and Sushant “last resided together on June 8, 2020”, when Rhea temporarily moved to her Santa Cruz residence. On June 14, Sushant was found dead in his Bandra apartment.
THE EURO TRIP EXPENSES ACCORDING TO SUSHANT’S BANK ACCOUNT STATEMENTS
In an exclusive interview to India Today TV, Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chartered Accountant Sandeep Shridhar had revealed details from the bank statements of the late actor. The statement revealed that Sushant paid Rs 50 lakh to Thomas Cook for his Europe trip with Rhea in October 2019.
THE COMPLAINT AGAINST RHEA CHAKRABORTY BY SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT’S FATHER
In the complaint that he filed in Patna, Sushant’s father KK Singh has accused Rhea of taking Rs 15 crore from Sushant. However, Shridhar, in his interview, revealed that Sushant didn’t have as much money as claimed by his family. Shridhar said that Rhea and Sushant travelled together and that the late actor spent his money on travel and on maintaning a lifestyle that an actor maintains in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Sushant’s family has relased their WhatsApp chats with the Mumbai Police from February 25, 2020, where they informing the police about the actor’s life being in danger. In the chats, the family had clearly mentioned to the Mumbai Police that Sushant was completely “under Rhea Chakraborty’s control” and that she kept Sushant at a resort near Mumbai airport for three months.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s family advocate Vikas Singh had said, “We had told Bandra Police on February 25 that Sushant is not in a good company and please have a look at him so that no harm happens to him. And that was the time when he was in complete control of Rhea Chakraborty.”
However, in a clarification, Mumbai Police said on August 3 that the WhatsApp messages were sent by Sushant’s brother-in-law OP Singh to the then DCP, Zone 9 of Mumbai Police, were all informal. The Mumbai Police said in their statement, “The then DCP Zone 9 had called Sh OP Singh and requested him that a written complaint is mandatory for any enquiry or action. However, Mr Singh wanted this to be resolved informally, to which the then DCP Zone 9 clearly told him that it was not possible.”
Today, Sushant’s father KK Singh spoke to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and requested him for a CBI probe in the case. Later, Nitish Kumar recommended a CBI probe in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said in a statement, “There cannot be transfer of a case which had no legal basis for Bihar to get involved. At the most it would be a ‘Zero FIR’ and transferable to Mumbai Police. The transfer of a case on which they had no jurisdiction to CBI has no legal sanctity. Having realised that Bihar has no jurisdiction this illegal method has been adopted.”
