Home Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amit Shah started the election campaign in Uttar Pradesh today. He said that his party’s government in the state has fulfilled almost 90 percent of the promises made in the manifesto. Shah said that the BJP will cross 300 seats this time under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the upcoming elections.
In a scathing attack on the opposition parties, Shri Shah said that the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh has proved that the government does not work for one family, but for the poorest people.
Talking about the temple issue, Mr Shah said that this generation never thought that a Ram temple would be built in Ayodhya in their lifetime, but it is a reality now. Comparing the earlier governments and the present Yogi government, he said that now women are safe and can move around easily even after dusk.
