Union Home Minister Amit Shah has asked the countrymen to use regional languages in common parlance. He also said that the regional language would be strong only when Hindi prospered. Inaugurating the first All India Official Language Conference at Deen Dayal Hastkala Sankul in Varanasi, the Home Minister said that his Ministry is doing more and more work in Hindi language.
Expressing concern over the condition of Hindi in the country, the Home Minister said that till 75 years of independence, Hindi remained neglected and today a new beginning has been made with the inauguration of the first All India Official Language Conference.
Senior BJP leader Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh. Yesterday, he presided over a meeting to prepare for the upcoming assembly elections in Varanasi. Today he will visit Azamgarh and Basti districts and participate in various programs.
