Amit Shah’s announcement: Naxalism will be completely eradicated by 31 March 2026

In Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, security forces have succeeded in killing 31 Naxalites in an encounter in an intense operation. This operation took place in the National Park area, considered a major stronghold of the Naxalites, where more than 650 security forces carried out a coordinated attack against the Naxalites. During this, the security forces not only caused damage to the Naxalites but also seized a large amount of weapons and explosive material.

As a result of this operation, however, two brave soldiers were martyred and two others were injured, who were immediately airlifted to a medical facility. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah called it a significant victory against Naxalism, a step towards a Naxal-free India in the future. He expressed his resolve to eradicate Naxalism from the country by 31 March 2026.

Reacting to the tragic incident, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai saluted the sacrifice of the jawans and expressed his sentiment that their martyrdom should not go in vain. He also spoke about the progress towards the complete eradication of Naxalism under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

Overall, this operation was not only a bold victory for the security forces but also proved to be a concrete step towards ridding the country of the menace of Naxalism.
