Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday (August 2) tested negative for coronavirus and has been discharged from Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital. Big B’s son and actor Abhishek Bachchan shared the news on Twitter and wrote, “My father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital. He will now be at home and rest. Thank you all for all your prayers and wishes for him.”
In another tweet, the actor shared that he, however, remains Covid-19 positive. “I, unfortunately due to some comorbidities remain Covid-19 positive and remain in hospital. Again, thank you all for your continued wishes and prayers for my family. Very humbled and indebted. I’ll beat this and come back healthier! Promise.”
Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for the novel coronavirus on July 11. A day later, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan also tested positive. The mother-daughter duo were initially asked to remain in home quarantine but were admitted to the hospital on July 17 after showing mild symptoms. On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan’s wife, Jaya Bachhchan, had tested negative for the novel coronavirus.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhaya tested negative for coronavirus on July 27 and were discharged from Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital.
After testing negative, Aishwarya fans for their wishes. Along with sharing a photograph of joined hands, she wrote, “THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for ALL your Prayers, Concern, Wishes and Love for my darling Angel Aaradhya and for Pa, Ab …and me.
