Anti-cancer drug made in India will now be sold in China as well. India’s Dr Reddy’s Lab and Chinese local companies recently signed an agreement related to this. Indian Ambassador to China Vikram Misri gave this information on Twitter.
There is a high demand for anti-cancer medicine in China because of the high mortality rate due to cancer there. Thirty percent of the people who died of cancer in the world last year were from China alone.
India and China had an agreement in 2018 under which China had agreed to reduce the duty on the import of anti-cancer drugs from India.
This news has come at a time when trade between the two countries is increasing continuously. By the end of September, trade between the two countries reached 90 billion 37 crore dollarsl
China exported 68 billion 46 million dollars to India while India exported 21 billion 91 million dollars. India’s trade deficit with China continues to be a major cause of concern, which has risen to $46 billion, 550 million and is expected to increase further by the end of the year.
