In the next few days, the BJP will arrange nearly 25 webinars on the topic of “one nation, one election” as it seeks popular support for the proposal.
Group sources said that their senior officials, in addition to scholars and legal fraternity, will be attending these “webinars” that will be held online.
“We plan to hold 25 webinars by the end of this month,” said the chief of the group.
Since coming to power in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always promoted the concept of conducting all elections together, starting from the Lok Sabha polls to the state assembly and local elections, claiming that the present period of regular elections around the country hinders development work.
