Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on its successful win in the local body elections in Haryana. He called it an expression of the people’s “unwavering faith” in the development work of the Nayab Singh Saini government. Expressing gratitude to the people of Haryana through a post on Instagram, PM Modi said that the BJP will “leave no stone unturned” to fulfill the expectations of the people.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini saw this victory as the success of the triple engine government, which will play a key role in realising PM Modi’s vision of a “developed India”. He accepted the results of the local body elections as a seal of approval put by the people of Haryana on the triple engine government.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed gratitude for the BJP’s massive victory in the elections. He said that the people of Haryana have once again blessed the BJP in the municipal corporation and municipal body elections, which makes it clear that the BJP has become the first choice of the people. Shah praised the hard work of the Haryana Chief Minister, state president, and BJP workers.
BJP has won 9 out of 10 municipal corporations in Haryana, while only in Manesar Municipal Corporation an independent candidate won. According to the election results, BJP has won the mayor post in many major municipal corporations like Rohtak, Sonipat, and Faridabad. In Faridabad, Praveen Batra Joshi won by the biggest margin, which was the special highlight of this election.
