Punjab Lok Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh has announced an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party for the 2022 assembly elections in Punjab. Captain Amarinder Singh announced the decision after a meeting with Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
After the meeting, he said that the alliance of both the parties is firm and talks are going on on the issue of seat-sharing. The Captain said that the seat-sharing decision would be taken on the basis of the probability of victory.
Shekhawat also said that Punjab Lok Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party will fight the assembly elections together.
Punjab assembly elections are expected to be held in February-March next year along with Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa.
