Union Minister Smriti Irani on Saturday accused former Amethi MP and Congressman President Rahul Gandhi of using a foul language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and of using lies to sow chaos in the region.
At this point, Congress will inevitably lose Rae Bareli’s Lok Sabha, represented by Congressman Sonia Gandhi, in 2024 elections, said Irani, who grabbed Amethi Lok Sabha’s seat from Rahul Gandhi in 2019 general elections.
“Rahul Gandhi uses foul language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is indulging in lies to create confusion in the country,” said Irani on the second day of her visit to her parliamentary constituency.
while addressing people after laying foundation stones of various developmental projects at Amethi, and inaugurating different welfare schemes in her constituency, Smriti Irani made this statement.
The Union Minister said that the Gandhi family and Rahul Gandhi had purposely thrown farmers and poor people into poverty to follow their policies without any obstacles.
And for this, Amethi had already bid farewell to Rahul Gandhi and Rae Bareli, too, would do the same to the Gandhi family in 2024, she added, adding that her party would also gain Rae Bareli’s seat in the next Lok Sabha election. Irani said it wasn’t easy for a woman belonging to a common family to fight against the Gandhi family.
“I have faced a lot of humiliation but it is the love of the people here that I am standing here as your MP,” she said.
“How can someone, who has never seen poverty, know the pain of the poor?” she asked, claiming that Rahul Gandhi had confiscated the property of the farmers and seized their rights.
“How can those living in palaces of gold know the plight of farmers?” she asked.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, who was also present with Iran, also accused the Congress of neglecting the creation of Amethi.
He also accused the Government of West Bengal of depriving farmers of the benefits of the central scheme in the state.
