Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has said that the ban on construction work and demolition activities in Delhi will continue till further orders in view of large scale air pollution. The ban on entry of trucks other than those engaged in essential services into the city will continue till December 7. Mr Rai said that CNG and electric trucks would be allowed to enter Delhi.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, he said that experts say that the situation has stabilized due to low temperature and low wind speed and the air quality of Delhi is expected to be very bad in the coming days. He said that according to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the situation may improve if it rains.
