A Delhi court has dismissed the bail plea of Jamia Millia Islamia student Asif Iqbal Tanha, arrested under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, in reference to a case associated with larger conspiracy within the north east Delhi riots in February.
Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh Rawat, said in his order passed on October 26, that there have been reasonable grounds for believing that the allegations against Tanha were clear true.
Tanha was arrested within the case for allegedly being a part of a premeditated conspiracy within the riots.
Communal clashes had broken call at northeast Delhi on February 24 after violence between citizenship law supporters and protesters spiralled out of control leaving a minimum of 53 people dead and around 200 injured.
