Due to the free entry of national monuments across the country, including the Taj Mahal, due to the Amrit festival of independence, huge crowds of tourists are flocking to see them. Tourists and locals flocked to the Taj Mahal in Agra on Thursday to such an extent that huge crowds gathered and long queues broke the dam waiting for tourists, forcing the police to make efforts to organize them.
Due to ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, entry is free in all the monuments of the city from August 5 to August 15. Due to this, the crowd of tourists and local people is increasing at the Taj Mahal as compared to other days. Due to the increasing pressure of the crowd, the PAC was deployed on Thursday.
It is known that due to free entry, about 50-60 thousand tourists are reaching the Taj Mahal every day.
