Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today launched a financial assistance scheme. This scheme has been started for such people whose family member has died due to Kovid epidemic.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kejriwal said that many people lost their lives in the capital due to Kovid in Delhi. He said that an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 50 thousand would be given to each family related to death due to Kovid.
He said that monthly assistance would be provided to the family on the death of the earning person from Covid. He said that two and a half thousand rupees per month financial assistance will be given to the orphan children due to Corona.
This assistance will be available till the child is 25 years old. Mr Kejriwal said that a portal has been started where people can apply for financial assistance. He said that the representatives of the Delhi government would also go door-to-door to help the beneficiaries in filling the forms.
