The Delhi government has lifted the ban on all construction and demolition activities in view of the improvement in the air quality in the national capital. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has said that considering the difficulties being faced by the workers due to the closure of construction work, this ban has been lifted.
He said that the government would continue to monitor the implementation of dust control measures at all construction and demolition sites. Rai said the ban on trucks coming to Delhi from other states has been extended till November 26, but the ban will not apply to essential services. Schools, colleges, institutions, training centers and other institutions will remain closed till further orders.
