Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar market has been closed for violating COVID-19 norms. This market will remain closed till further orders.
The department of Delhi Disaster Management Authority has asked the Lajpat Nagar Market Traders Association to explain why action should not be taken against them for violating the COVID rules.
On Saturday, the government had ordered the closure of Nangloi’s Punjabi Basti Bazar and Janta Bazar from July 4 to July 6 due to non-behavior of COVID.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority also allowed the reopening of markets in and around Laxminagar from Saturday on the condition of strict adherence to the COVID guidelines.
