Frustrated by the performance of their fast bowlers, Mumbai Indians have roped in veteran player Dhawal Kulkarni, the 33-year-old left-arm pacer has joined the team’s ‘bio-bubble’ and will start training soon.
Mumbai pacer Jasprit Bumrah has conceded 229 runs in eight matches and has taken only five wickets. Other fast bowlers are also struggling this season.
Fast bowlers Tymal Mills (six wickets for 190 runs in five matches) and Basil Thampi (5 wickets for 152 runs in five matches) have also not done well.
Riley Meredith was used in two matches but he conceded 65 runs and took only three wickets.
Kulkarni has mostly played for Rajasthan Royals. He has also played a few matches for Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Lions.
Mumbai Indians are already out of the race for the play-offs after losing eight matches in a row.
