The ED is questioning Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in a money laundering case related to alleged illegal mining leases in Sahebganj. Soren reached the ED office at around 12.30 pm amid tight security arrangements. The central probe agency has prepared a list of over one hundred questions to question him in the alleged mining scam of over Rs 1,000 crore.
A team of ED officials from Delhi reached Ranchi. Hemant Soren’s political aide Pankaj Mishra and two others Bachchu Yadav and Prem Prakash have already been arrested in this case.
The district administration has imposed section 144 in Ranchi. Meanwhile, supporters of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha took out a procession against the central agency.
