FIR on many including Bajrang, Sakshi, Vinesh

An FIR has been registered in connection with the incident at Jantar Mantar. This FIR has been registered against the organizers of the protest. It also has names of wrestlers Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat. Responding to this action, the wrestlers have said that the police did not even take 7 hours to register an FIR against us, while it took 7 days to register an FIR against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

Delhi Police has said, “A case has been registered against wrestlers Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and the organizers of the protest. Some wrestlers came to Jantar Mantar in the night to protest. They were denied permission and sent back.” In this case, the Delhi Police has registered an FIR against the wrestlers, organizers of the protest and others under IPC section.

After registering the FIR, wrestler Bajrang Punia told the media, “It is unfortunate that the person accused of sexual harassment was involved in the inauguration of the Parliament House. It took only a few hours for the Delhi Police to register an FIR against us. But it took them 7 days to register an FIR against Brij Bhushan Singh.
