Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan along with his wife Nutan Goel received their first Covid vaccine doses on Tuesday in the Delhi Heart and Lung Institute.
More than 17 lakh individuals registered on the CoWin system, a website for monitoring the supply, use and dissemination of vaccine COVID-19 in Real Time on the first day of the second phase of India’s Coronavirus vaccination campaign, said RS Sharma, head of the Empowered COVID-19 vaccination council.
Sharma added that the device faced no bugs and people could enrol without any difficulties for coronavirus vaccines. The leader of the Panel also claimed that the registration number may potentially be 35 lakhs, as two registered individuals have been using the same telephone number.
No glitch in CoWIN right from the start. Some people had spread misinformation that there is CoWIN app. Later, we specified that there is no such app. Registration can be done on Aarogya Setu app & CoWIN portal: RS Sharma, Head, Empowered Panel on Covid vaccinations pic.twitter.com/eIgO2ieyL2

“From the morning about seventeen lakhs have reported. If we thought at least two individuals have registered with the same telephone number, it can be at 35 lakh. The CoWIN device fits well and has faced no challenges,” says Sharma.
With respect to the misinformation on the CoWin website, Sharma claimed that the misunderstanding was created by disseminating false information about a smartphone application for vaccination registrations. The national health authority CEO has explained that the registration for the vaccine is only carried out through the ‘Aarogya Setu’ application and the Co-WIN platform ‘cowin.gov.in.’
Dispelling rumors about those who want to make a COVID-19 appointment on CoWIN rather than on a COWIN website.
