Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya has called Hindu saints and Mahants ‘terrorists’ and ‘executioners’. Controversy seems to be increasing once again with this statement of his. Earlier, Swami Prasad Maurya had demanded a ban on Ramcharitmanas, calling it nonsense.
Swami Prasad Maurya tweeted, “Recently, on the statement given by me, the contractors of some religions have declared reward to those who cut my tongue and behead. If someone else had said the same thing, the same contractor would have called him a terrorist. But now what to call these saints, Mahants, Dharmacharyas and caste-specific people as terrorists, super-devils or executioners.
On January 24, a leader of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha had announced a reward of Rs 51,000 to anyone who kills Swami Prasad Maurya’s jaw. Saurabh Sharma, the district in-charge of the Mahasabha, said, “Some courageous person, if he cuts off the tongue of SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya, will be given a check of Rs 51,000. They have insulted our religious book. Has hurt the sentiments of Hindus.”
