Idea nahin, already chal raha hai : PM Modi rebukes Arvind Kejriwal for breaking protocol during conference

In a conference on the Covid-19 situation headed by the Prime Minister, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asked Modi to initiate chief ministers of all states to maintain the effective movement of oxygen tankers arriving in the national capital. Kejriwal also shared a live telecast of a “in-house” meeting with Modi during the same meeting.

The Delhi Chief Minister appears to have made yet another blunder.

Modi corrected Kejriwal on the Oxygen Express during the meeting.

Kejriwal meant to refer to Modi’s “idea” of going to run the Oxygen Express and stated that West Bengal and Odisha must provide oxygen to Delhi.

Modi rebuked him. “Idea nahin, already chal raha hai,” the Prime Minister said, “it’s not an idea, it’s already in progress.”

Kejriwal appeared to pause for a moment after Modi’s response. According to government sources, Delhi CM Kejriwal raised the issue of airlifting oxygen but was unaware that it was already being done, and that he spoke about the Oxygen Express by Railways “but Railway sources say that he has not communicated anything about it to Railways.”

The Oxygen Express has been currently running to significantly improve the country’s medical oxygen supply in order to meet the high demand caused by the Covid-19 situation.
