In view of the concern of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the violation of Kovid friendly behavior, strictness has been increased in Uttarakhand. The administration has taken strict steps to ensure that everyone follows the COVID friendly behavior in tourist and religious places like Mussoorie, Nainital and Haridwar districts of the state.
The Tehri Garhwal district administration has strictly enforced the rule of maintaining a safe distance in Kempty Falls tourist destination. According to the district administration, not more than 50 people are allowed in the pool under the waterfall at a time.
Policemen are keeping a close watch on the entry and exit gates of the pool. Tourists are not allowed on Mall Road in Mussoorie without RTPC negative report. Hotel owners have also been asked to follow the Kovid rules. In Nainital, police officials have set up checkpoints across the city to ensure that the COVID rules are strictly followed.
