Both countries India and Bangladesh had a historical moment when Indian Naval ships visited the Mongla port city for a three-day visit in Bangladesh. The Indian ships will remain in the Bangladesh port from March 8 to 10 to mark the fiftieth anniversary of 1971 Indo-Pak war.

This year is popularly called as “Swarnim Vijay Varsh’ to mark 2021 as the 50th anniversary of the 1971 Indo-Pak war. For the neighbouring country, Bangladesh it is the fiftieth year of independence.
“This is the first time any Indian naval boat visits Mongolian port in Bangladesh, and its visit is designed to pay tribute in line with the SAGAR Security and Growth commitment of India to maintain peace, stability and good order in the region to the Bangladeshi and Indian warriors and the citizens who laid their lives during the 1971 Liberation War.
