India’s Mangalyaan has run out of fuel and its battery has also run out. The country’s first interplanetary mission has finally completed its life. The ‘Mars Mission’, costing four and a half hundred crore rupees, was launched on November 5, 2013 and the scientists successfully placed this spacecraft in the orbit of Mars on September 24, 2014 in the very first attempt.
ISRO sources said, “Now, there is no fuel left. The satellite’s battery is drained. Contact is over. However, there has been no official statement from ISRO. ISRO was earlier trying to move the vehicle to a new orbit to avoid an imminent eclipse.
ISRO officials said the Mars Orbiter vehicle worked for about eight years, while it was revamped to a capacity of six months. The Indian government can announce another project for Mars soon after the success of this mission.
