A Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist was arrested was Sunday in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.
He was apprehended based on credible input about presence of a newly-recruited terrorist in Bulgam area of North Kashmir’s Sopore in a joint operation launched by 52RR, CRPF and SOG Sopore.
While conducting the search operation, a terrorist tried to flee from the spot. Since he was the newly-activated terrorist, the endeavour was to force him to surrender or capture him alive.
Security forces exercised extreme restraint under provoking operational situation. Maintaining all caution, forces caught the fleeing terrorist alive.
The apprehended terrorist was identified as Danish Ahmed Kakroo who hails from Chesti Colony in Baramulla. The initial probe suggested he had joined terrorist ranks only a day ago.
Arms and ammunition were recovered from the terrorist and further probe was underway.
