J&K: Militants Who Attacked BJP Leader Anwar Ahmad Killed In Encounter

Three militants were killed during an anti-terror operation in J&K’s Pulwama district, according to police. They also said that two of them were involved in yesterday’s attack on a BJP leader’s house in Srinagar.

Militants were trapped in a three-story house in the Pulwama district of Kakapora, where heavy gunfire and explosions had been heard since the morning.

Yesterday, one police officer was killed in a terrorist attack on the home of BJP leader Anwar Ahmad in Nowgam, on the outskirts of Srinagar. The attackers fled with the rifle of a fallen police officer. The attack was carried out by four Lashkar e Toiba terrorists, according to police.

According to police, an operation was launched shortly after the attack to track down the attackers, and late last night they were able to corner three terrorists, including two attackers, at Gath Mohalla in Kakapora. All the three forces like the army, police, and CRPF have all joined forces to carry out the operation.
