US President Joe Biden has announced new Kovid-19 travel rules. Some cases of Omicron variants of Kovid have been confirmed in the US. Biden said he did not plan to shutdown or lockdown. Cases of Omicron have been reported in California, Colorado, Minnesota, New York and Hawaii.
According to these guidelines, all international passengers will have to be screened 24 hours before leaving for the US. The requirement of masks in planes, trains and buses has been extended till March.
For the winter, the administration will encourage all adults to get the booster vaccine. The US and several other countries have banned travel from eight southern African countries.
