Kamal Haasan unveils teaser of his movie ”Vikram” on his 66th birthday

Kamal Haasan is celebrating his 66th birthday today. On this special day, the makers of his 232nd film released it’s title in the form of a teaser. Titled Vikram, the film is directed by Kaithi and Maanagaram fame Lokesh Kanagaraj. The teaser was shot adhering to the Covid-19 safety regulations as suggested by the government. As reported earlier, the film is produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International.

Kamal Haasan dedicated this teaser as his birthday gift to his ardent fans. Social media was filled with photo and video tributes to Ulaganagayan to wish him. The hashtags #HBDKamalHaasan, #Aandavar and #Ulaganayagan are trending on Twitter since morning.

Unveiling the title, Kamal Haasan wrote, “Happy to launch the title teaser of my film today; directed by Mr @Dir_Lokesh Enjoy! (sic).” Vikram is also the title of Kamal Haasan’s 1986 classic, directed by Rajasekhar.

The teaser showcases Kamal Haasan setting up a long table for a feast with popular personalities. Before they could arrive, Kamal sets up the entire house with guns and axes tucked bunder the table, window pane and book shelves. He then welcomes them and is all set to have a feast. Kamal Haasan ends the teaser with the words, “Shall we begin?”

Kamal Haasan is not just an actor anymore. In 2018, he launched his political party titled Makkal Needhi Maiam. Before he could contest in the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2021, he wanted to gift fans a solid political thriller.

In an earlier interview, a source close to the team told IndiaToday.in, “Kamal Haasan wanted to do a proper political film for a long time. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s script will be a hard-hitting one and takes on various issues. He is planning to shoot for the project as soon as possible adhering to government restrictions and regulations.”

The film will go on floors sometime in early 2021 and will be wrapped up in a short span of time. According to reports, Vikram will hit the theatres before Tamil Nadu goes to elections.
