All the colleges including medical and paramedical colleges in Karnataka had been closed for the last nine months due to coronavirus outbreak. After such a long gap, Karnataka government decided to reopen on Tuesday.
Strictly abiding by COVID-19 guidelines, the government permitted Dental, AYUSH, paramedical, nursing and pharmacy colleges also to resume regular classes from today.
Karnataka Minister for Health and Medical Education, Dr K Sudhakar had ordered the opening of the medical colleges from December 1. Already degree, diploma and engineering colleges started functioning from November 17 on a regular basis.
