Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned in just 43 seconds on Friday due to uproar by opposition parties. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla vowed to maintain the dignity of the House and said, “Whatever be the situation, I will not let the dignity of the House fall.” He urged the opposition MPs to cooperate during the Question Hour and asked, “Don’t you want the House to function?”
In his statement, the Speaker strongly said that the House should be conducted with dignity and high tradition. He stressed on maintaining decorum in the House and made it clear that he would not be affected by the uproar of the MPs. After this, the Lok Sabha Speaker adjourned the proceedings for an hour. It is noteworthy that for the last few days, especially after November 25, uproar from the opposition parties has been continuously seen in the House.
As soon as the Lok Sabha proceedings began, the opposition MPs started creating a ruckus as soon as Speaker Om Birla took his seat. In the presence of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, other Congress leaders also continued to create a ruckus in the House. The opposition MPs raised many important issues, including the Sambhal violence.
