Amit Shah, the Prime Minister and leader of the BJP, stated that the people of Bengal were against Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee because she had provided poor governance over the last ten years.
Amit Shah claimed at a press conference in Kolkata that the TMC is doomed to lose the ongoing West Bengal Assembly election.
“Didi [Mamata Banerjee] should consider why the people of Bengal oppose her. It is because the law and order situation in Bengal has deteriorated, corruption is at an all-time high, and people are fed up with ten years of poor governance “According to Amit Shah.
The Home Minister attacked the TMC supremo for accusing central police of interfering in elections at the request of the Union Home Ministry.
“Mamata Banerjee’s outbursts against central forces show the TMC’s frustration with impending defeat,” he said.
“I’ve never heard Mamata Banerjee make such disparaging remarks about the central powers. She is requesting that voters gherao the CAPF. Is she leading people to anarchy? Is she trying to win the election by rigging the polls?” said the Home Minister
