Over 600 development projects related to development of infrastructure in North Eastern States were completed since fiscal 2014-15 till date, Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Thursday.
Singh said this while responding to a question asked in Rajya Sabha.
“A total of 667 projects have been completed, including 32 projects which were sanctioned during the period.”
The Union Minister (MoS) of Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER) also informed the house that the ministry and North East Council(NEC) had also sanctioned more than 500 development projects in the respective region.
“Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region and NEC have sanctioned 549 projects costing Rs 8640.08 crores under various schemes for the development of North Eastern States”, said the minister, adding that the remaining projects are at various stages of implementation.
