Arjun Rampal arrived at NCB Mumbai office for second round of questioning on Monday (December 21) morning.
The NCB suspects that the doctor’s prescription submitted by Arjun Rampal about certain psychiatric medicines is false. The drugs were discovered at the actor’s home during a raid carried out by the Agency last month.
On 13 November, Arjun Rampal had produced a doctor’s prescription for psychological drugs that had been discovered at his home before the national central bank. Speaking to the media, Arjun Rampal said he had nothing to do with some sort of drug or drug dealer, and he cooperated with the agency. He also confirmed that he had requested a correct prescription for the tablets found at his home.
Arjun Rampal was summoned by the national central bank on the same prescription. The summons was submitted on 15 December and Rampal was asked to appear before the Agency on 16 December.
He did, however, demand a week’s time to testify before them, for personal reasons. According to reports, if the medication given by Arjun Rampal turns out to be forged or forged, the actor might even face an investigation by the Department, as the psychiatric medication found in his place is a prescribed drug under the NDPS Act. Arjun Rampal had allegedly obtained the prescription through a friend from a doctor based in Delhi. Moreover, the prescription was of a back date. Hence, the actor could face an arrest for producing a fake, backdated prescription which is an offence.
After the actor’s home was raided, Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades, was also questioned by the NCB twice. Her brother, Agisialos Demetriades, was arrested by the NCB in two cases and Arjun Rampal and Gabriella’s name had come up in the course of the NCB investigation after Gabriella’s brother, Agisialos, was arrested by the agency in another drug case. The NCB had seized a small quantity of Hashish and Alprazolam tablets, both banned narcotic drugs, from him. Agisialos was in touch with Omega Godwin, a Nigerian national arrested for the supply of cocaine in Mumbai. Agisialos was arrested after he was named by Omega Godwin in front of NCB officials.
